Review Unattached Athlete Rules For Spring Sports

The spring seasons are upon us and one issue that arises each spring are the rules regarding athletes competing in outside competitions as unattached competitors. Several of the spring sports are ones in which competition as an unattached athlete are common, so ADs and coaches should thoroughly review the rules and confirm them with their student-athletes to protect their eligibility.

The rules unattached competitions can be found on page 142 of the CIAC Handbook and schools should contact the CIAC for clarification if they have questions.
