Since the early 2000’s, individuals from all over the world have competed professionally in video game events, now known as “esports.” Enabled by publishers like Riot Games and online media platforms like Twitch, esports have become a global phenomenon boasting more than 250 million viewers across a diverse audience and selling out world-famous stadiums all over the globe. Esports is quickly following in the footsteps of traditional sports, first with the growth of a massive professional scene, and now with the development of national high school and collegiate esports.
Join us at our esports information session to learn more about the benefits of esports and how to bring them to your school.
This information session is facilitated by EGFH, the national governing body for high school esports, working with administrators across the country on the development of esports programs in education.
