CIAC Spring Tournament Information

Please see below for CIAC spring championship information, including pairings release dates, schedule information, credentialing information and other items that may be useful. CIAC’s Tournament Central page will be the best resource for CIAC Tournament information throughout the season, as well as CIACmobile.com the CIAC mobile site.

Pairings Release Schedule (all pairings will be available on Tournament Central as soon as finalized):
Thursday, May 23: Girls Tennis, Boys Tennis, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Track & Field Qualifiers
Friday, May 24: Baseball, Softball, Boys Volleyball
Thursday, May 30: Boys and Girls Golf

General Tournament Notes:

• There will no media credentialing prior to the finals the week of June 3. Media will be able to cover games using their regular identification, but are strongly encouraged to contact sites in advance. CIAC contacts all semifinal neutral sites in advance to express the need for proper media accommodations, but media members are still recommended to contact sites directly.
• Credential applications for the finals in baseball, softball, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, boys volleyball, and track & field open will be available on CIACsports.com and media will be notified with a separate release.
• Text and email tournament updates are available for all CIAC tournaments, and sign-up can be accessed here.
• The NFHS Network is the exclusive broadcast partner of the CIAC and will broadcast the finals in baseball, boys and girls lacrosse, boys volleyball, and the track and field state open live. Contests prior to the finals may be available for broadcast by other entities, please contact Joel Cookson at jcooksoncasciacorg if you are interested. The NFHS Network will also be broadcasting some contests prior to the finals, and regular updates of the broadcasts available will be shared regularly via CIAC social media.
• Sites for the baseball (Palmer Field), boys lacrosse (Brien McMahon HS), girls lacrosse (Jonathan Law HS), and softball (DeLuca Field/West Haven HS) are predetermined. The sites for the remaining finals will be released later in the tournament.
• Note that due to a facility schedule conflict, Yale University will not be a site for boys or girls tennis tournament matches this season. Please check CIAC Tournament Central regularly to determine where tennis tournament matches will be held.
• Roster sheets with numbers are available at Tournament Central and the CIACmobile.com for every tournament game.
