South Windsor Softball Player Claims National Honor

NFCA sig with MP sigLOUISVILLE, Ky. – Peyton Silverman (South Windsor (South Windsor, Conn.) H.S.), McKenzi Jordan(Southmont (Crawfordsville, Ind.) H.S.) and Makayla Burlingame Auburn (Riner, Va.) H.S.) have been chosen as the MaxPreps/NFCA National High School Players of the Week for games played over June 2-8.

East Region

Silverman led the Bobcats by hitting .500 (4-for-8) with two doubles and three RBIs, while posting a 3-0 pitching mark with a 1.27 ERA and 30 strikeouts over 22 innings of work. She struck out 10 or more hitters in two of her three appearances with a high of 13 during a 3-0 shutout of Warde (Conn.). Overall, she owns a 15-4 record with a 1.05 ERA and 243 K’s over 140.1 frames, while hitting .303 with six extra-base hits and 18 RBIs.
