CHESHIRE, Conn. – The online application for media credentials for the CIAC football championships December 12 and 13 is now available for submission at the following link: http://casci.ac/1139. Media planning to cover a championship game must complete the online application for credentials by 12 p.m. Thursday, December 11. After completion of the online form, media members can pick up their credentials at the respective sites. Each championship game will be credentialed separately, and press box access and field access will be limited to those covering the specific games. Media entities planning to provide radio broadcasts of championship games must complete the online credential form, as well as the Broadcast Application Form which can be found at http://casci.ac/826.
Credentials will only be approved for professional media from a coverage area for one of the championship qualifiers, or an entity with a verified history of covering the sport state-wide.
The CIAC Football Tournament Press Conference will be held on Tuesday, December 9 at the AquaTurf Club, in Plantsville with representatives from all 16 CIAC football final qualifiers in attendance. Coaches and as many as 12 players from each of the 16 schools competing in the CIAC football finals will be available for interviews at the event. Players and coaches will be available for roughly one hour beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the formal program beginning at 11:30. Following the formal program interviews can again be conducted with players and coaches until the teams depart, at approximately 1:30 p.m.
