Athletics Directors To Discuss Pertinent Issues At CAAD Conference

homeheaderThe 31st Annual Athletic Directors Conference will be held on March 26 & 27, 2015 at the Sheraton Hartford South, Rocky Hill, Connecticut.  Critical issues in our schools will be discussed in workshops and the CIAC staff will be on hand to review CIAC Rules and Regulations. In addition, two General session speakers are slated.  Former NFL great Billy “White shoes” Johnson will be delivering a motivational keynote presentation titled- “Athletic Directors: Makers or Breakers”    and Olympic Medalist Rod Dixon, from the Kids Marathon program will be presenting  “When Mt. Everest Isn’t High Enough for Dreams, Goals and Aspirations.”

To compliment this excellent professional program there will 55 exhibitors in attendance showing the newest innovations in sports equipment.

CONNECTICUT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR’S TO HONOR FOUR OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUALS

In conjunction with the 31st annual Athletic Director’s conference, the Connecticut Association of Athletic Directors will host their Awards Banquet on the evening of March 26, 2015, 6pm at the Sheraton Hartford South, Rocky Hill, CT.

Honorees include; For Distinguished Service– Betty Remigino-Knapp, West Hartford Public Schools.  The State Award of Merit will be given to Chris Manfredonia. Darien High School, Meritorious Service Award will be presented to Mark Snyder, Prince Technical High School and Brian Fell, Woodland High School will be honored with the CAAD Past Presidents Award.

These recipients have made numerous contributions to athletics in the State of Connecticut and are well deserving of these awards.
