Online Eligibility Center Updates – 4/28/15

Please note the following updates have been made to the Online Eligibility Center:

1) MICHAELS CUP DATA SUBMISSIONS OPENED
Data for the 2014-15 school year may now be submitted via the “Michaels Cup” link at the top of the Eligibility Center. The initial submission involves answering a few questions, or confirming/updating answers if you have submitted in previous years. Please be sure to submit the form, it will take less then five minutes and allows your athletic program to be considered for a prestigious recognition.

2) CONCUSSION REFRESHER DUE FIELD ADD TO COACHES TRACKING
A field for “Concussion Refresher Due” has been added to the Coaches Information section. The due date for the refresher would be five years after completion of module 15, and then every five years thereafter. Dates entered in the Concussion Refresher Due field will trigger notifications when they are within 30 days, the same as notifications are sent for upcoming expirations for Coaching Permits, First Aid and/or CPR.

3) OPTION ADDED TO INCLUDE MISCELLANEOUS AND HOLIDAY EVENTS WHEN COMPARING SCHEDULES
An option has been added to include miscellaneous and school holiday events when using the “Compare Schedules With An Opponent” feature on the Schedules tab. Since the main use for that feature is to find a date to make up a game, this option will allow you to see other potential issues on dates you are considering.

4) PROCESSING CHANGES FOR SUSPENDED GAMES
We have received a number of questions on what should be done regarding schedule changes for suspended games. If a game is suspended and will be completed at a later date, you should process a change to the competition date (or to date TBA if the competition date is not determined immediately). Doing so will keep the system from thinking that this is a missing score that was not entered. If you wish you can use the public note field for the game to indicate this is the completion of a suspended game, the current score, or any other info you desire. You should not enter the score in the score field for the game until it is completed.
