Scholarships Available From Connecticut Women’s Golf Association

Golf TeaserEach year, since 1977, the Connecticut Women’s Golf Association has given a number of scholarships to deserving female golfers from the state of Connecticut.  The PME Scholarship Committee administers the program for the Priscilla Maxwell Endicott CWGA Scholarship Fund and the Patricia DeWees Creed/CWGA Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships are based on the following eligibility requirements plus a written form and a personal interview:

  • Candidate must be an amateur woman golfer who is a resident of Connecticut in need of financial assistance and who has been accepted at an accredited school.
  • Applicants may be high school seniors who will be graduating this year or students currently attending an accredited college or university.
  • Submission of complied application is due on or before April 13, 2016.
  • Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, interest in golf, excellence of character  and a personal interview.

The amount of the scholarships generally range from one to three thousand dollars per year and are paid directly to the college of the applicant’s choice.  Upon satisfactory academic performance from a transcript of grades sent to the PME Treasurer each year, the scholarships are renewable for three more years of consecutive undergraduate study.
