The Connecticut high school softball season opened Saturday. Or at least it was supposed to open. After a March that came in like a lamb and ended like one, too, a cold rain washed out most games. Chances are that a few more days of the season will be postponed with temperatures continuing to drop and a wintery mix in the forecast.
