Michael’s Cup Unified Sports Banquet Honors Success

unified3The Unified Sports Michael’s Cup Banquet to honor Unified Sports participants and teams will be held Monday, April 25th at the Aqua Turf in Plantsville. Doors open at 4:30 and the event begins at 5:15. One of the highlights of the CAS-CIAC calendar, the event will pay tribute to the dedicated students and adults that have helped make the Unified Sports program a success across Connecticut.

In addition to the general recognition for Unified athletes and teams, several schools and individuals will be recognized as outstanding Unified programs. Among those are Unified Essay Contest Winners who have earned scholarships for their essay submissions, and two of the essays will be read at the event.

The Essay winners for the High School are (these 3 students will be receiving a scholarship this evening.:

The Essay winners for the Middle School are:
Melanie Sachs – Walsh Intermediate, Branford (will be asked to share her essay)
Mia Aglieco – Griswold Middle School, Rocky Hill
Elizabeth Cavaliere – Mystic Middle School
Each Middle School student will receive a award in their name to be given to the Middle School unified team at their school.
