Weston’s Emily Savage Makes History In Pole Vault

Weston (Conn.) senior and University of Oklahoma recruit Emily Savage didn’t just set a new CIAC girls pole vault record last week at 13 feet, 1 1/2 inches. She did it at hallowed Franklin Field in Philadelphia. She did it in winning the high school segment of the Penn Relays, the nation’s oldest and largest outdoor track and field competition.
